Because of this our safest record is consistently better that the industry average. Our extensive safest program factor in almost every faces of our valuable assets. Safety is a determining factor in almost every facet of our work.

A healthy environment both at work place and residences plays a crucial role in increasing the productivity of any individuals. Keeping this mid, we put a lot of emphasis on the safety.

OUR SAFETY PLAN

  • a) Keeping the site neat and tidy both on daily and regular basis.
  • b) Setting up of safety organisation.
  • c) Safety training at all levels
  • d) Regular organisation site safety meeting
  • e) Investigate each accident in the detail and recommend preventive to the concerned project manager.
  • f) Remove hazards from time to time Make use of necessary protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
  • g) Regular safety inspection through CHECK LISTS.
  • h) Regular evaluation of housekeeping zones in the sites.
  • i) Plan and implement safety promotional activities like safety slogan competition, safety posters competition etc.
  • j) Display safety posters at the sites.

PREVENTIVES MEASURES AGAINST SPECIFIC HAZARDS

  • All open sides of building from which a worker might fall and openings in to which a worker might fall are adequately covered or barricaded.
  • Where barricades could not be installed, safety nets are installed close to the level at which there is danger to fall.
  • Where secure foothold is impracticable, safety belts with secure anchorage should be provided.
  • Do not use shift arrangement for climbing. Use proper scaffolding or ladder.
  • Ensure that ladder or scaffolding or platforms are secured properly before use.
  • Vertical poles of scaffolds should not be more that 6 feet apart
  • Protruding nails, wires and other accessories should be removed or made safe.
  • Discharge of waste concrete on platform or accumulation of bricks on work platform could result in a sudden collapse and should be avoided.
  • Material liable to cause persons to slip or trip should be cleared immediately.
  • Garbage must be removed daily to prevent accumulation.
  • Keep cylinders in lockable wire cage.
  • At the end of the working day, isolate gas supplies to equipment and return cylinders to stores.
  • Cylinders should not be stored near area should be kept always in vertical position with caps provided on it. No naked flame should be allowed near gas storage area.
  • Never store cylinder in ordinary lockable nuts.
  • When welding is being done portable screen should be provided and used to protect eye injury to other persons working in the vicinity.
  • Welders to use head screen, leather and gloves, leg guards and safety stores.
  • Sand buckets and fire extinguishers to be placed at the point of welding.
  • While welding at the height safety belts should be provided and used by the welder.
  • Supervision deputed at the work site should have knowledge of fire fighting and first aid.
  • At every level of construction where combustible materials are liable to be used or stored, proper power extinguisher should be provided.
  • Trained personnel must be present at the site all the time.
  • Combustible and flammable material should be stored away from the source of heat such as generator, electrical distribution boxes etc.
  • a) Head Helmet, Wire net, Leather caps
  • b) Eye &Face Safety glasses, face shields, splash proof goggles, welder screen, impact goggles etc.
  • c) Ears Ear plugs ear muffs
  • d) Respiratory system Self contained breathing apparatus, dust mask, supplied air hood etc.
  • e) Hands and arms Heat/ Chemical / sharp edge resistant gloves, arm guard.
  • f) Trunk/ Main body Apron, safety belts, heat resisting cloth, chemical resisting clothing etc.
  • g) Feet &legs Safety shoes.
  • Crane be inspected at regular intervals and should be tested before use by competent engineers.
  • For tall towers cranes are subject to excessive wind loads or buckling danger, they should be adequately braced to the building it is serving.
  • Adequate ground support must be maintained before any lifting is done.
  • For minor injuries make use of first aid box which is kept on site. a) Thereafter further treatment.
  • In case of cuts and scratches, clean the wound with surgical spirit or dettol.
  • Wound should be covered with sterilised bandage.
  • Do not attempt to remove the foreign particle embedded in the wound
  • b) In case of burn
  • Flush the burn area with cold water
  • Do not remove struck clothing.
  • Report to hospital for further treatment.
  • c) In case of electrical shocks
  • Stand on dry ground or dry wooden plank and switch off the power supply
  • Dis-engage the victim with the help of dry wooden pole or ply.
  • If the victims is unconscious or has stopped breathing, being artificial respiration immediately.
  • Take out all unwanted materials and throw them away.
  • Arrange wanted material in proper order so that they can be easily picked up for use. Clear your work place completely.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Train people to follow good housekeeping discipline independently.
  • In order to avoid accidents, spillage should be cleared immediately and floor must be kept dry with oil or grease free.
  • Oil, cotton waste, cloth pieces, paper etc must be kept in separate bins and disposed off regularly.
  • Projecting structural member wires, sharp objects, broken strips etc should be removed immediately and carefully.
  • Our safety committee for site is meant to function as follows:
  • a) To assess the effectiveness of company’s safety program.
  • b) To implement action necessary to comply with legislation.
  • c) To report on us safe or unhealthy condition together with recommendations
  • d) Conducting safety audits of project site.
  • e) Actions required complying with safety audit report to be prioritised.
  • f) Giving assistance in the development of safety system at work.
  • g) Conduction on the jog safety meeting.
  • h) Appointment of safety personnel for the project.
  • i) The scope of safety officer’s duties and functions.
  • j) Emergency plan for obtaining medical assistance, ambulance and direction of rescue operation.
  • k) Display of safety caution boards and awareness posters
  • l) Accident reporting and investigations.
  • m) Analysis of accidents.
  • n) To take disciplinary action for safety violations.
